The RING-type zinc finger motif is present in a number of viral and eukaryotic proteins and is made of a conserved cysteine-rich domain that is able to bind two zinc atoms. Proteins that contain this conserved domain are generally involved in the ubiquitination pathway of protein degradation.TRIML1 (tripartite motif family-like 1), also known as RNF209 (RING finger protein 209), is a 468 amino acid protein that contains one SPRY domain and one RING-type zinc finger. Due to the presence of a RING-type zinc finger motif, TRIML1 may be involved in protein degradation events within the cell. Function: Probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which plays an important role in blastocyst development. Subunit: Interacts with USP5 (By similarity). Similarity: Contains 1 B30.2/SPRY domain. 25 ug total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with FLJ36180 polyclonal antibody, unconjugated (bs-16126R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r.t. for 60 min.
